Travel to Kakheti, to the Chavchavadze Estate, where the hike begins
11:00 — Begin the hiking adventure
The route follows the picturesque banks of the Kisishevi River.
12:30 — Visit an Ancient Forest Church
Mysterious ruins surrounded by trees. Take a break here and have a light snack.
13:30 — Navigate Stream Crossings
Cross the river and ascend to an old church whose name means “Forest”
14:30 — Explore the Cave Cells
Climb into ancient monastic dwellings if you wish.
15:30 — Return to Kisishevi Village
Finish the route along the opposite bank of the river.
16:30 — Optional: Dinner in Kvareli
For those interested — a trip to a cozy restaurant for BBQ and Kakhetian wine.
