Tour program

Departure from Tbilisi

We'll meet near 300 Aragveli metro at 10:00 and head out toward Javakheti. We'll stop by a shop on the way to use the restroom and grab any extra water or snacks.

Tsalka Reservoir and the submerged church

In summer, you can only see the cross sticking out of the water, but in winter, the entire ruined church emerges on the surface.

Trialeti Petroglyphs

These are prehistoric rock carvings. Deer, camels, horses, goats, and hunters are etched into the basalt rocks of Trialeti.

Paravani Lake: Tambovka and the Doukhobors

The villages around Paravani Lake are home to the Doukhobors. They are a religious community of Russian Protestants exiled here from the Russian Empire in the first half of the 19th century.

Back to Tbilisi

After sunset, we'll head back the same way. Expect to be home around 10:00 PM.
