about the tour

This tour is perfect for anyone looking to soak up the natural beauty of Imereti, try something new, and spend a day packed with adventure and great vibes. The main event is the via ferrata, but we've got other cool spots lined up too—like the Katskhi Pillar and a hidden wild waterfall.
Difficulty: during the tour, we'll hit a few short trails. The path to the small waterfall is super easy, with just a couple of river crossings.
The trail to the big waterfall is a bit longer and steeper, but still totally manageable.
About the via ferrata: This is a rock section specially equipped with metal rungs for easy climbing and a safety cable system. It’s not technically difficult—it feels like climbing a ladder, but with the thrill of being a real rock climber. Not recommended for those with a serious fear of heights. You can skip the via ferrata if you prefer; in that case, the tour price is 100 GEL lower.

What you'll see on the trail

Tbilisi → Katskhi Pillar → via ferrata → waterfall
Our first stop is a place that looks almost surreal— Katskhi Pillar.
The monastic retreat of hermit Maxime sits atop a narrow 40-meter rock. We’ll hike up a trail to see the pillar from above, getting the absolute best angle.
*You can't climb up to the monk himself.

From there, we head to the Sveri climbing camp. We'll grab some tea, gear up, and go tackle the rocky via ferrata — climbing 50 meters up a secured route with safety lines. We'll pass through a cave along the way, and at the top, swings over the cliffs
are waiting for us. Right after the ferrata, we're heading to the waterfall.

*The camp has showers, so you can freshen up after the via ferrata. There's also a kitchen where you can brew coffee, have tea, or heat up your food.
