Itinerary
Day 1
Meeting, departure, and first look at Svaneti
We meet in the morning in Batumi (or at a pre-arranged spot)
The road to Svaneti through the scenic Inguri Gorge (~6–7 hours on the road)
Tour of the Inguri Dam, the highest arch dam in the world (2 hours)
Lunch
Arrival in Mestia, the capital of Upper Svaneti
Checking into a cozy guesthouse with mountain views
Evening walk around town
Dinner. A proper Georgian feast
Day 2
Mazeri Waterfalls and the Dolra River Valley
Breakfast
Drive to Mazeri village at the foot of Ushba (~40 min)
Hike through the Dolra River valley. Pine forests, glacial rivers, and cascades, plus a 110m waterfall. (6–8 km, ~300m elevation gain)
If you're feeling it and the weather holds, we can push up to the Ushba glacier (extra 500m climb)
Outdoor lunch: sandwiches, tea, and local treats
Heading back to Mestia. We'll stop to chill by the river on the way
Dinner. A proper Georgian feast
Day 3
Koruldi Lakes and Ushba views
Breakfast
Trekking. Climb to the alpine Koruldi Lakes (~12 km round trip, ~700m elevation gain).
Take a dip in the glacial lakes (weather and bravery permitting).

Dinner. A proper Georgian feast
Day 4
Zuruldi Ridge, Tsvirmi village, and a Svan cuisine night
Walking the Zuruldi Ridge (~7 km, easy route, mostly downhill)
Tsvirmi village with its 9th-century church

Svan cooking masterclass. Learning to make kubdari, cook tashmijabi
Dinner. Supra with wine and homemade chacha
Day 5
Ushguli and Shkhara Glacier
Breakfast
Head to Ushguli (~2.5 hours by 4x4s)
Explore Ushguli, one of Europe's highest settlements (2200 m): unique towers, Lamaria church, and atmospheric stone streets.
Trek to Shkhara Glacier and Namkuami Lake (~10 km, ~400 m elevation gain).
Picnic lunch with mountain views
Back to Mestia
Dinner. A proper Georgian feast
Day 6
Adishi and Chkhundieri Pass
Breakfast
Head to Adishi village (~1.5 hours)
Trek through the Adishchala river valley (~12 km, ~600 m elevation gain)
Cross the river by fording or on horseback
Climb to Chkhundieri Pass for panoramas of Laard and Khalde glaciers
Picnic at altitude
Back to Mestia
Dinner. A proper Georgian feast
Day 7
Heading back

Hike to Chalaadi Glacier. (200 m elevation gain, 5 km length)
