Hike around Tsinandali. Ancient church ruins of Kakheti

09:00 — Departure from Tbilisi
Heading to Kakheti, to the Chavchavadze estate, where we start our hike.

11:00 AM — Hike starts
The route follows the scenic banks of the Kisiskhevi river.

12:30 PM — Ancient forest church
Mysterious ruins surrounded by trees. We'll take a break here for a light snack.

1:30 PM — River crossing
We'll ford the river and climb up to an old church whose name translates to "Forest Church."

2:30 PM — Exploring cave cells
An ancient monastic dwelling that you can climb up into if you're feeling adventurous.

3:30 PM — Return to Kisiskhevi village
Finishing the loop along the other side of the river.

4:30 PM — Optional: Dinner in Kvareli
For those interested — a trip to a cozy restaurant for some mtsvadi and Kakhetian wine.

6:00 PM — Departure for Tbilisi

8:00 PM — Back in the city
